Winners of Inter House Competitions

We are proud to present that our student Salma Ahmed of Grade 3-A is the winner of the GCC MaRRS international spelling Bee (prelims) competition for category II which was conducted on Friday 16/2/2018 at Spring Dales School, Dubai. She has also been awarded with a cash prize of 1000 dhs.
We are proud to present that our student Adinath Arun  of Grade 2-E has bagged 1st prize in both Katha and Kumithe in IFK 2nd National Karate Championship held at Dubai on 9th Feb.
We are proud to present that our student Aagamya of Grade 2-D has won the Under 9 Girls Singles title at 41st ISC- APEX UAE Badminton Gold Championship-2018.
We take pride in sharing that Mayoor School Abu Dhabi was the only CBSE school from UAE to participate in the International French Spell Bee popularly known as Concours d’Orthographe. Out of 88 students who participated in the French Spell Bee, 6 of our students represented Mayoor School for the Grand Finale in New Delhi. Their outstanding performance compared to last year have won them Zonal Topper Trophies and medals from the  Attachés for Cooperation in French language, Mr. Olivier LITVINE, LFR New Delhi . This time our students proved that aspiration and hardwork is the key to success through their confident performance among other students from India which gained them the title” Bunch of clever ones” from the Founder of Le Frehindi, Paris, Mr.Haru Mehra. 

We are proud to inform you that our student Hrushikesh Reddy has achieved Black Belt from Oriental Karata Club at the age of 8 years.
We are proud to present that our student  Diya Bhanu  of Grade 5-B2, graduated from Dino Art and UCMAS, on 24th November 2017 

We are proud to present that our student Afsheen Banu Sheikh, Student of Grade 2-B has won 1st Runner up prize in 6th UCMAS National Dino Art Competition held in Dubai on 24th November 2017.
We are proud to present that our student  Mayadarshine Sudhakar of Grade 2-D, participated in 3rd Brain-O-Brain International Competition held in Dubai on 25th November 2017 and secured championship in Level-3 Category for the age group 7-8 years.

We are proud to present that our student Sanam Abdul Rasheed of Grade 2-E has won 2 awards and 1 certificate. 
•	Radiant Star award in the 6th UC DinoArt National Art Competition 2017 held at Indian High School Dubai on 24th Nov 2017.
•	1st prize in Kata tournament among yellow and green belts held by United Karate Group International at Diyafah High School in Dubai on 24th Nov 2017.
•	Participation certificate from UAE Karate Federation for participating in an attempt to set a world record of the 'Most People Performing Kata' held at Dubai Police Officers Club football stadium in Jadaf on 16th Feb 2017.
Selected Grade 11 students participated in VIBES Inter school cultural competition in Private International English School.   
•	Sarayu Santosh of Grade 11-B1 got 1st prize in canvas painting competition.
•	Jegan Rajkumar of Grade 11-A1 got 2nd prize in the standup comedy.

Rishi Nandan Reddy from Grade 2 C secured 1st rank at the UAE National Championship 2016-17 of the MaRRS International Spelling Bee in category 1 held at SpringDales School Dubai. He also achieved a cash prize of 500 AED. 
We are proud to present that our student Dharrshan Prakash of Grade 4C has won - "Championship in Abacus - Level 1 - Category A" held in "International Brain O Brain Competition Festival" on 25th December 2017.
We are proud to present that our student  Aruvi ILango participated in the 3rd Abacus International competition Festival. She won "Championship trophy in Abacus Level-3" held in "International Brain O Brain Competition Festival" on 25th December 2017.
We are proud to present that our student Saleel Mansoor Fareedi has completed all the levels of UCMAS with Distinction and Graduated on 24 th November 2017 at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai.
We want our young Mayoorites to scale and experience newer heights.
We are proud to present that our student Yash Indrodia, grade 2 C flew in a dual rider (one pilot and one rider) aircraft in Nepal and received appreciation and a certificate for this adventurous activity.
Being 7 years old and flying at 5000 feet, we congratulate Yash on achieving this feat.
Mayoor students are encouraged to participate in external public competitions too. We are proud of Gehna Saggi, of Grade 9B1 who participated in Handwriting Competition held on 22nd September 2017 at the Le Meridien Hotel Abu Dhabi. The competition was organized by Polar Mathematic Education Institute.

Gehna secured the first position in both, English and Hindi Handwriting Competition under the category 13 - 16 years. Congratulations to Gehna on her achievement.!!
Mayoor focuses on a strong foundation not only in academics but also for Sports.
Mayoor campus currently, is in the process of selecting the best students to represent for the CBSE cluster meet to be held in October and November.
The swimming pool arena is all set to welcome students from different CBSE schools in UAE as we get set to host the Swimming Championships for the CBSE Cluster.
We are proud of the 4 students who received IBT honours.
The winners received trophy and a cash of AED 500.  
In 1st West Asian Youth Chess Tournament Jiya Shah of Grade 7A won  2 Silver medals & Tvisha Shah of Grade 2A won Bronze medal.
In 1st Abu Dhabi Amature  Classic Chess Championship our chess champions showed commendable achievement. Jiya Shah  won 1st place in Under 14 category, Arya Vyas won 1st place in Under 12 category and Tvisha Shah won 2nd place in Under 10 category. 
Adinath Arun  of Grade 1-E has won 2nd place in Kumite and 3rd place in Katha for the international federation of karate, national championship held on 17th February at Qusais, Dubai.

NCO Science Olympiad Winners 

Malavika Mohan of Grade 3-C got 1st position in Karate Kata competition in the winner cup “Inter Karate Club Championship, Abu Dhabi“ in the category of blue belt ( under 9). 
Mohammed Ibrahim of Grade-1D has won a certificate and a Trophy place in UCMAS International Competition for Elementary-A category.

Hitanshi Pradhan of Grade 4-C, won 1st price in UCMAS Z level category in National level and was awarded Radiant star award of 21st International and 13th national Abacus and mental arithmetic  and listening completion held in Dubai.
Pratiksha Sahu of Grade 1 A has secured 1st position in Karate Kata competition and bagged the Gold Shield in the 4th UAE Open Karate Championship 2017 in the category of Blue Belt (6 to 9 Year Girls).

Rahul Wariar of KG-2F has secured first position in Kata in the 4th UAE Open Karate
Championship – 2017 held in Al Wasl Sports Club in Dubai on 13th Jan 2017.
Khushi Vora of Grade 5B1 performed well and secured First Place - Kumite and Third Place - Kata in 4th UAE Open Karate Championship 2017.

Afsheen Banu Sheikh of Grade 1-F stood 2nd place in the UC Dino Art National Competition 2016. She also won the 1st prize in BrainOBrain Talent hunt 2016 national drawing competition

Diya Bhanu of Grade 4-D has secured 3rd place in 21st international  , and 13th National Abacus & Mental Arithmetic  competition in higher 'A' category and also won 4th runner up in Listening Competition of UCMAS National championship.
She also achieved MERIT  in  Elementary level -1  in the  5th Dino Art National Competition held in Dubai.
Arya Ajay Vyas(5B)-Won bronze medal in West Asian Youth Chess Championship-Represented India U10 girls category-Achieved Major Milestone

The ‘Super Strikers Mayoor’ team won the runner-up championship trophy at the ‘League Penalty Shootout 2016 Second Edition’ held by Al Ethihad Sports Academy on 1stDec. The 5 member team that included Hrithik  (of 4 C - captain), Jerom Saji (of 4 C), Shreyas Vaidya (of 4 D), Reece (of 4 A), Vishnu (of 4 A) won 2 matches out of 3 to clinch the second position in the 2008 age category.
Abhijeet Anil Das of Grade 2-c won 2nd prize in BRAINOBRAIN International Competition,held in Sharjah.
Priyanka Madhu of Grade 4-C, won 3rd prize in 21stInternational Abacus Arithmetic competition 2016, held in Dubai
Mayoor School flag was flying high today. Kids of Mayoor School participated Abudhabi CBSE inter school chess championship on 11th October 2016. School had participation in 4 different categories. In each category where Mayoorites participated they earned medal. School earned 3 gold and 2 bronze medals.

We are very proud to share one more milestone achieved by Tvisha in her journey of chess.
Tvisha has earned a fide rating at the age of 7. She has entered the list with a bang. She is currently ranked as Number 1 and the highest rated played under 8 girls in India. 
We are proud to inform that Arya Ajay Vyas(Grade 5B1) won consecutive two championship trophy along with Gold medal.
1.JOSH Junior chess championship 2016 tournament held in Dubai on 30th Sep 2016 and 2. Kempinski international Chess championship tournament held on 1st Oct 2016 in Palm Dubai under 15 Category. She has secured first place in both the tournaments and made 6/6 points and awarded Championship Trophy along with Gold medal, Merit Certificate, chess set and Kempinski prize voucher for her achievements.

Jahan Ajay Vyas(KG1C) has participated in two tournaments.

1.JOSH Junior chess championship 2016 tournament Under 8 category held in Dubai on 30th Sep 2016 and 2. Kempinski international Chess championship tournament held on 1st Oct 2016 in Palm Dubai under 8 Category. He has awarded the best youngest player of the tournament for the Josh championship and he made 2/5point where he won against 8 year kids in Kempinski international Chess championship tournament.

Jiya M Shah & Tvisha M Shah - 1thSep 2016

Aathirai Sankaravadivel(1D) has secured first place for completing Level 1 in Brainobrain Skill Development Programme. She has won a medal and a trophy.

A very heartily congratulations to Niharika Krishnan from Grade 2D on her remarkable performance in the 18th SOF National Science Olympiad. She secured 38 marks out of 40 and her percentile score is 99.97 whereas the overall class 2 percentile for the State of UAE is only 99.02. She stands 1st not only in the school rank list but also tops the State(UAE) Rank list.

Ivan Rajith Abraham (2C) passed his Grade 3 Examinations in Drums with Merit from the Trinity College of Music, London
Isaac Rajith Abraham (4A) passed his Grade 3 Examinations in Rock and Pop Bass with Merit from the Trinity College of Music, London.
Rajeshkumar Selvanayagam (4 B), passed his Grade 1 Examination in Theory with Distinction, securing 100%, from the Trinity College of Music, London.

Students who appeared for the Science Olympiad received certificates and Medals (gold, silver,bronze and class topper). Student Performance Report and participation certificates were also given to the students.
Erin Maria John (Grade VII B) has qualified for the next & final round of MaRRS International Spelling Bee which is the International Orals.

Math-whizz competition - Jahnavi Yerra from 4C was a proud winner who received a Tablet and a trophy for the ‘most outstanding student (Overall winner)’ category. In all, 40 students received the certificate for the Excellent usage and improvement.

Students who took part in the Solar car challenge as part of the Sustainability week were awarded certificates towards their participation in the exam.

Mythili Jaikrishnan of Grade 7B qualified for the International written and GCC oral round of the Marrs Spell Bee. Our hearty congratulations to Mythili on her achievement.

We are very proud to inform you that Jiya M Shah of grade 6 B and Tvisha M Shah of grade 1 A participated in Dubai international rapid rating chess tournament where, Jiya was awarded the best female award.

Roots and Shoots

Drashti Vora, Meghana Venkatraman and Vani Jayan from Grade 8 participated in the 25th Anniversary of Roots and Shoots Award function on 19th January at Park Hyatt Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, organized by Environment Agency. We have received a trophy and certificates for our efforts and contribution towards Roots and Shoots.
Max Quiz Competition

12 students from Mayoor participated in the Elimination round of MAX Quiz challenge 2016 that was held in Shaikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai on 20th January 2016. Aaron Jose of Grade 8A received ‘on the spot’ prize for answering an interactive quiz.


Vishva Sundar of Grade 7A, took part in Kanninjukku Shotokan, Karate Winner Cup 2015 in Abu Dhabi and secured 1st prize in Kumite (Fighting) and 1st prize in Kata in the under 14 years boys.

Sustainable School Award 2015

If this can’t make us proud, we have to rethink! Mayoor is thrilled to announce being an obvious winner at the Sustainable Schools Initiative (SSI) Awards 2015 - 2016. Our SSI team took the school to a standard higher with the prestigious award for environmental friendly projects. The Al Wathba Labour Camp visits and projects done by the team, placed us high amongst all schools in Abu Dhabi, as the third prize with a cash award of AED 7000 was bestowed.
Chess Tournament

The much admired sisters - Jiya and Tvisha Shah are beating their own records at chess, this time at the tournament conducted at the Sharjah Chess Club.

Jiya Shah participated in the Sharjah Open International FIDE Rating Tournament. Jiya was again honoured as the best woman in UAE.

Tvisha participated in the under 8 (boys & girls mix) championship to secure the Best Girl and the Overall silver medal.

Arya Ajay Vyas (9 years) has participated in the under 14 years (boys & girls mixed event) at the Abu Dhabi Amateur Chess Tournament - 11th Edition,held from 28th May to 31st May,2015 and bagged the silver medal. She has received the medal and prize money for her achievement.

Arya Vyas of Gr 4 A has had a wonderful break, we believe, for the Bronze medal, certificate and prize money was bagged by her at the UAE Chess Competition held at Dalma Mall, Mussafah. Arya was also awarded the Emerging Talent award at the Big Idea UAE. And that’s not it - Arya is also the winner of a gold medal at the Dubai Run for ‘Kids Healthy Style’.


The winning streak doesn’t stop with the SSI Awards.

Priyanka Madhu of grade 3 C has been awarded the 3rd runner up at the 12th UCMAS National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition held at Dubai on 15th May 2015 for the Basic Level.

MaRRs Spelling Bee

Mayoor is happy to announce that Rajeshkumar Selvanayagam of Gr 3 B has been qualified for the National Level Competition of the Marrs Spelling Bee.

Erin of Grade 7 B, has emerged the Emirates Champion at the MaRRS Spelling Bee Competition in Category 4 . She was also specially recognized for being the only child who had spelt the maximum number of words correctly (56), amongst all the categories in the Emirates.


Annika Saini has secured the 3rd runner up position at the UCMAS international competition held in Delhi on the 5th and 6th December. Around 11,000 students from 20 countries had participated in this event.


Milind Dutta – KG 2 C stood 1st runner up in the Junior Lawn tennis tournament for U-7 years , conducted on 12th December 2015 in Abu Dhabi by the ADCO tennis Club.


We are happy to inform you all that our school U-14 & U-16 Football boys team will take part in the UAE level football tournament " The UAE School Cup Football Championship" which is going to be held on Zayed Sports City from October 17th 2015. We wish good luck to the teams.


Our Mayoorites have secured third place in the CBSE Cluster Volleyball Tournament. The category they participated in was meant for Under 19 girls, however our young talented girls did their best.


19 students from our school participated in the 23rd Inter School Athletic Meet held in Dubai on 9th December 2015. Congratulations to Haneesha from Grade 8B who won second place in discus throw.under 14 category.
